Wow. I haven't updated this in a long time. The last week I was busy with homework and studying for two midterms: sociology and linguistics. I think I did really well on both of them.. but we'll see. I just finished my homework for the weekend, I had to read a chapter on syntatic structure for linguistics in the Patterns of the Mind book. It was heavily complex but at the same time really interesting. I've been bored and sad this weekend.. Mike went home to North Hollywood for Mother's Day. But that's okay cause he gets to be with his family. I never knew how much I would miss him. It's bad..even if it is only for 2 days. But like my best friend is gone, I can't just go over and see him. Sadness. But I did take advantage of him being gone this weekend. I went to the mall yesterday with my girls, all 5 of them went to get their nails done and I walked the mall in search for the perfect anniversary present. Tuesday will be me and Mike's six month anniversary!!! Exciting. A half a year together! Wow huh? lol. So yeah.... I asked Nancy what I should get him, like any ideas of some sort. I guess Mike asked her for her advice too cause he told me my present was getting mailed and should be here by Tuesday. After thinking of what I could get him, Nancy turned to me and told me that the present Mike got me was really thought out and it was a serious gift. That's all I needed to know.. whether it was serious or whether it was jokey cause me and Mike have a lot of jokes. So I walked the mall and I knew what I wanted to get him. I walked straight to Abercrombie and Fitch. That's his store.. that's all he wears.. so I knew whatever I bought him in there would be perfect. I looked around and saw all these nice shirts that I could get him. I had like 3 in my hand that I had narrowed it down too. I eventually stuck with the first one I saw, which was plain white with blue short sleeves that says Athletic Abercrombie on the right side. Hopefully he likes it. He's going to be shocked that I went into that store... just for him. It's cool cause the guy asked if I wanted a gift box and even the box is cool man.. it's all nice and clean looking and says Abercrombie and Fitch.
After buying his present I went across to Hallmark and bought my mom and Mother's Day card and bought Mike a card. Then I met up with the girls again and we headed back to campus and parted ways. I came back into the room, put some music on and sat down to write my moms card. Then I started folding Mike's shirt (man.. it even smells like him). I put it in the box with it's nice Abercrombie and Fitch tissue paper.. hehe... and then wrote in his card. Then I put the card in the box and closed it up. I can't wait to give it to him on Tuesday. He called later on and we talked about what he has been doing at home and stuff. Then I asked him what he was going to be doing tomorrow and he told me how he was going to try to get his job back at A&F so he can start working there again over the summer. Then he went on to tell me that he needed to do some clothes shopping because he was out of clothes. I'm just hoping he doesn't go and buy the shirt I got him! lol. That would be sad. Awwww I miss him.. he needs to come back lol. My cutie :)P
